Gosh, mimbrava, you are very good at photo commentary! It may sound odd, but I have a lot of respect for those that can look at a photo with a critical eye. Hope that you will continue to weigh in from time to time (especially on those that I submit--I need all the help I can get ).

Thanks, mimbrava. I use the "rule of thirds" a lot but I also like to break the rules of photography and composition to effect. That beach shot was a great example. In fact, all three shots are outside the boundaries, but still work.

Hedgerowe, I'll try to find something useful to say...

Sage, yes, they all work.

I noticed the sun highlighting a milkweed plant off in the distance.

Oh, that's a fine shot, havalotta. Very clear details and lovely against the deep blue sky.

Beautiful milkweed, Havalotta! It looks like an action photo!

Not sure if I'm too late, just joined yesterday and there is a lot to take in here. Anyway. I thought I would add a drone fly.

Kildale-
Great photo!! And I'm thinking a pretty great photographer too!

I really like the way the drone fly's shadow shows up on the plant he's perched on.
