I have never before seen a robin in Buffalo in January! And I've never before gotten a decent pic of my first spring robin! I'm so excited!

Weeds, wonderful weeds...here's my January shot...the paper wasps hid their nest all summer and in the fall, voila, their amazing creation in the maple tree. I waited until frost and brought it inside to enjoy.

I think it is a hornet's nest. Maybe a bald-faced hornet's nest?

Trout lily...love the nest!! I saw one from far away simular in size and shape near my dad's house but we were driving and following my dad and I didn't want to get lost otherwise i would have stopped and gotten a closer look!!
