Yes, spring can't come soon enough for me. It's been -20 below and then some in Northern WI at night for the past week. Some days....never rising above 0.

No surpise wildlife shots for me this week. I think all the critters are curled up trying to stay warm like me!

You don't get one's like that often, but it was a beauty. It's called Sheer Delight because of the way it smells. The peony is we believe a Sarah Bernhardt. My oldest son brought it home from the neighbor ladies when he was about 5 and "helping" her with her flowers, so these are about 30 years old. LOL Both the roses and the peonies got several treatments of Bokashi "juice" and I truly think it made a huge difference in their bloom and production.

Your flowers are beautiful! I love the scent of peonies and always wanted to make "Eau de Peony".

The rose is so gorgeous! I hope you don't mind but I just felt like playing with it a bit. You can have it back now.

I thought this shot would be great for the January contest.

It's been on Flickr-Explore for over three years straight which is fantastic. I took this with a little Coolpix in January 2006 while on a ride in blizzard looking for something to shoot (camera). I turned out like a Christmas card scene, really giving the feel of the cold wintery day at a farm. Hope you like it.

You're welcome! I just tweaked it with http://picasa.google.com/ which is free. I could have had even more fun with it in Photoshop but that's not yet on the laptop.
