I'll be teaching in Yellowstone for the next few days. I'll announce the winner of August sometime before the end of the weekend.

Hi Swamp Thing (a favorite comic book),

An excellent shot of the Wood Frog. That's a rare one here, I think we're a little too warm for them.

Hoo boy, I hope it's warmer here than your area! The picture was taken right near the zone 6b - 7 border in the Philly area.

I guess they're in your general area, but I've only ever seen them a couple times in my life.

Yes, you're warmer than here. I did a little more research and it appears that their range is to the north and east of here, so I'm too far south and west as well. Their primary range is up in Canada. Click here to see a range map for them.

Ha! Nope! There was one really good natural landscape photo but not too many native plant and wildlife photos this month so I was racking my brain for something to add. All I could think of was a photo of the THING. I posted the THING's photo at something like 11:57pm.

Too close for me. Is Dave an hour or two ahead or behind us in Michigan?
I think you had said there was a time difference somewhere so I posted earlier.

I almost entered another landscape. It's THE favorite place I visited while in Washington.
A nice eagle shot got the boot too.
