That's right! Have you post-edited your pix? HDRs, tone-mapped, extreme cropping, experimental techniques? Anything not allowed in contests - please post them here! We want to see them!
One Rule - Basically Flora or Fauna, keeping with the standards of Wildlife Gardeners. Below are some examples I could find quickly: Very cropped or macro Macro of chicory with background blurred This was originally a vase of flowers Bug added Sycamore tree tone-mapped (Equilibrium's avatar tree)

I don't think that cropping or blurring the background is a violation of the rules as I understood them.
The adding of a bug and the artistic filters wouldn't be allowed. Here are a couple that wouldn't qualify... One is my niece climbing a tree. The other is my dog at Valentine's Day. (Notice the heart on her nose.) |

I see a Cardinal in the tree! What technique did you use for the cute doggy shot?
Yes, cropping is generally allowed now, but maybe not extreme crops. |

Do you see the squirrel in the tree also?
The dog is posterized, the background was pallet knife,. (both artistic filters). For the nose, I used the eyedropper to select the nose color and then just used a paintbrush to put the heart on it. That dog pic was my valentine day's card a couple years ago. I like the posterization artistic filter... here is another pic that has been edited that would not meet forum guidelines. |

Love the heart on the dog's nose. Very subtle. May I send it to my friend who has a golden? Is that permitted?

These aren't exactly leaf shots, but they are somewhat similar....
