Whoa! I totally did NOT see those! What I thought I saw can't possibly be a bird in that case. I'm not very good at this game!

I stared at that picture for extended and repeated times and saw neither of them. Amazing you are able to find them, and more amazing is the example of animal camouflage the picture illustrates!

Exactly--the one with just its head peeking out was the one Jeff saw--and I preceded to tell him no. I really thought it was an optical illusion--you know how the human brain is wired to see faces (even when there is no face there)?

After viewing it on my smartphone, I started thinking that it may not just be an illusion. You are likely right.

I did find the second Waldo--so, I got to play my own game!

Aww...Maybe I shouldn't be thanking you--considering you didn't even see the main bird!

Sorry. Hope you had fun anyway.

I am shocked, because I really thought this was an easier one--but now I see that katjh, is not alone.

Yes, great camouflage! Keeps those little guys safe, I hope.

I'm guessing it is a spring love song.

I'm hoping that I have a nesting pair or two.

Can anyone identify the species? I am no good with the sparrows--I believe that is what they are...just not sure which kind.

I guess I should tell Jeff his first sighting was correct.

Personally.... I like turn turn turn but "The Times They Are A-Changin" would probably fit better here.

The one in the background looks more like a robin than a sparrow like the bird in the front appears to be

To the right and up a bit from the two that are circled, I see what looks like a bird's eye. I can see now that it isn't a bird (it would be a GIANT compared to the two actual birds), but I originally thought the photo was taken at a much closer range and that was a bird concealed in the brush.
