HEY! We don't even have any August photos submitted and now it is September!

Where are all those great photos you are taking?

What does your landscaping look like?

Here is a pic from 9/2. Spotted apatelodes AKA Apatelodes torrefacta

Green pupa had just shed the skin seen above it. Brown pupa is what they look like after they harden.

I was surprised how small the pupae are because the caterpillar was around 2.5". Granted, some of that length is because the caterpillars are very fuzzy.

Found this guy a few days ago. Morning-glory prominent (Schizura ipomoeae).

We had them for about 9 months. Have not seen one in a couple years now. On the plus side, the foxes are back.

We had a tree come down over the deck on Sat, then a sapsucker arrived. You can see by the position of the holes, up and down not across that the tree is down.
