Do we want to discontinue Photo of the month contest?

Oh no! So sad. I love all the photos that have been submitted over the years. I didn't have any photos last month because of our horrible weather and some health issues. Usually I submit at least one photo. We have some great photographers out there, let's not pull the plug too soon.

Let's step up our contributions folks! I miss the calendar and now I never know what day it is!

I'm not much of a photographer, especially in winter, but I'll try to remember to submit some when the weather is decent again.

I finally have my camera...and, after a month or two of sporadically playing with it, I'm finally getting a decent shot or two.

I, too, will try to post an entry or two...but, if there is still no interest, I can understand considering putting it on hold. Let's see if those who don't want to see that happen do step up.

I like the POM contest, and there has been some fantastic pictures submitted thru the years with of a variety of subjects. And I think some enjoyment & accomplishment has been obtained by all that participate.

But just like nature, everything has seasonal changes.

The calendar on the other hand ...never really did much for me one way or the other.

I bought a calendar each year...but I rarely remembered to turn the page to the next month. I also receive a calendar of family pictures each year. I notice I am more likely to look at a calendar in digital format now-a-days. This past year, I planned to just send in the money as a donation and skip the actual calendar.

It is a great idea for a fund raiser...but only if others enjoy it.

I still like the idea of a Wildlife Gardeners T-shirt as a fundraiser.

This is what I came up with way back when: Management team announcement

It would need tweaked (this was just a rough)...also, I thought about creating one with just one photo behind the words "Wildlife Gardeners"--if I could create the words with an empty space inside them, my thought was that (perhaps) each person could personalize it with their own photo inside the letters.

OR

Someone else can create a T-shirt design.
