You are allowed to enter 5 so you ought to mention which of those you would like to omit from the contest. Nice photos by the way!

First of all, THANKS for sharing the photo contest guidelines

Second....please disregard my previous entries. It's too many photos and they were all taken at the end of June. I'll have to save those for next year Sorry! Didn't mean to be a cheater-cheater-pants-on-fire! (That's what my kids used to say to each other ).

Hubby hasn't been out in the yard much lately cuz he's a skeeter magnet and those little buggers have been THICK. Sooo.....here are just a couple of my less than excellent phone-shots, actually taken in July!

The first one is a bloom on my Compass Plant. I love BIG plants and this is a biggie. I think I need a bigger yard

The second one is a Swallowtail on one of the Coneflowers.

Thanks for all the photos kat. I would rather see too many than not enough. Your photos are always beautiful. You are really a talented landscaper. Your plants and the critters they attract are fantastic. Is compass plant a Silphium? I love big plants too! I am fortunate to not have any property restrictions here and have filled all the property around my house with plants. No lawn.

I might scrape up a few photos in the next couple of days. My desktop has been in the computer hospital for three weeks, I just got it back today so I haven't been doing much downloading or editing of photos. We have had a little heat and thunderstorm break with temps only reaching 90 for a few days, so nice. I need to do a walkabout to see what's been happening out there.

pawprint when you have cleanout the tomatoes, go for the bigger tougher stuff...

Oh so the saga of the garden raiding squirrels continues...now they have developed a taste for my tender watermelons and my baby bird house gourds! I found two varmits out there this morning. I found last night, yesterdays devastation, they chomped into 3 watermelons and at least one gourd and a cucumber.

I'm going for a homemade brew of ground jalapeno tomorrow, and I'll try spraying that around, to see if I can save a few of my garden produce. Who knows maybe it will knock down the noo-see-ums too?

Oh boy.....the battle with the furfaces is never ending! I hope your jalapeno spray works! Love the photo of the tomato-robber

We miss your posts and pictures....but I can understand how frustrating it can be dealing with what you are describing.

I have been frustrated to see my photos posted upside down or on their side. Lately, I've taken the time to open my photos on the desktop and saving them through Photoshop. This has worked for me to solve my issues.

Not sure what is causing your issues. Uploading photos isn't an issue for me...but I am having to wait for photos to open. What I've noticed works for me to speed up the issue is clicking "next" and continuing to click until I get back to "first". By doing this, they all open immediately "the second time around".

Hope this helps, and I hope we see you posting more again...I miss your contributions. (I should talk...I've been extremely sporadic in my visits and posts for a while. Lately, I'm setting time aside just to visit and share.
