I've always been amazed at how hard it can be to see a deer when it's standing in it's natural habitat. There have been many times when I have taken my eyes off of a standing deer and then found it very difficult to relocate it.

Here's another Waldo. I don't think this one will be easy, but there is something in the photo that will draw your eye to a spot right next to it.

I see it, NEWisc! Not sure I can ID the species, but you are correct, my eyes were drawn right to the area.

Here's a closer photo of that Waldo:

Even with the closer view I'm not sure which hawk it is (Sharp-shinned or Cooper's). It appears to be an immature which makes it even more difficult.

Nevertheless, it was nice to see it sitting in our old apple tree right next to the house. It is amazing how the other birds can disappear when a hawk shows up. One moment there will be 50 - 60 birds on the feeders and in the trees just chirping away and the next moment there's not a bird in sight and you could hear a pin drop.

I had a really nice experience while country driving earlier this week.
A hawk took flight from it's perch alongside the road but instead of flying into the woods directly across from it, it flew straight away down the fairly narrow road. I matched my speed accordingly, and followed it for quite a while just in front of my vehicle.

It was quite the sight to behold up close and under like I was!!!!

Well it IS a where's waldo thread-game.
Nobody ever said it had to be a whole..... animal-whatever you are in search of.

Can't make out his bones ha?
See if you can find them in another shot taken of that very deer.

Question

This is more of a who's waldo than a where's waldo:

Where's Waldo Wildlife Game - 2015-waldo-who.jpg

It's been seen with 4 young ones in tow a couple of days ago.
