Very nice, back40beans. I especially like the first one--nice composition and I always like to see the mosaic of various leaves and moss.

Rebek, hard to choose, but I think the epiphytes pic looks really cool (not something I see every day--and not even something I would have been able to put a name to.

If this winter proves to be as long and gray as the last one, I may be wishing we had wandered around Brevard County this Christmas; we've not been back there since 2012.

It has been very cloudy here for weeks. At least it has been above freezing.

A final, last-minute photo from me. In my opinion, this is not very reflective of December... While poking around in the woods on Dec. 14, I found an Asclepias variegata (redring milkweed) letting loose it's seed. This species always takes forever to produce mature seed pods. This year was ridiculous!

Thank you, kchd. A lot of it grows along that stream in NC. That red hue it gets in Winter looks almost unreal to me and I love it, also.

Opps I missed this. South Eastern PA is pretty far from here dap. I have some plant friends that I visit closer to there though.

I remember thinking you were just over the border...but I guess I never was good with directions. ~smirk~

Uh no, I'm a lot farther south. I used to live in Newark Delaware where we met one time. That is close to SE Pennsylvania. Maybe that is what you are thinking.
