A final, last-minute photo from me. In my opinion, this is not very reflective of December... While poking around in the woods on Dec. 14, I found an Asclepias variegata (redring milkweed) letting loose it's seed. This species always takes forever to produce mature seed pods. This year was ridiculous!

Thank you, kchd. A lot of it grows along that stream in NC. That red hue it gets in Winter looks almost unreal to me and I love it, also.

Uh no, I'm a lot farther south. I used to live in Newark Delaware where we met one time. That is close to SE Pennsylvania. Maybe that is what you are thinking.
