Had an amazing weekend 'botanizing' for just a few hours. Found some native Carolina lilies (2 separate locations!); and my botanical find of the year was spotted by my husband: orange fringed orchids!

You sound like you get out into the wilds...very cool you found them in two separate locations. Maybe I could recruit you...~smile~...Recruiting the Adventuresome

I saw that thread, Dap. I haven't commented yet, tho, because I feel like I haven't poked around in areas where there is habitat you are looking for. All my poking around is either out west, a little on the Great Lakes islands, and around MS & LA.

No pressure to post...but, it might be nice for others who are looking for inspiration from nature from other parts of the states.

I do think that one can get a general idea of what grows together in similar habitats...and, if nothing else, I'm looking for designs, aesthetics, and inspiration from nature.
