pawprint congrats dapjwy on the win!

way2go everyone that posted some pictures in this contest, I agree with kchd...some excellent entries were made this month.

Thanks milta for such a thoughtful donation, the 1st place prize.

Hey dapjwy, no I can't make it out your way this year but thank you for the invite, and the offer to share a taste of the honey.

Thanks, sprucetree and ww...and, yes, thanks so much to MrILoveTheAnts for the generous, home-raised honey! I can't wait.

Thanks, turttle.

It is funny that you say that; while taking the photos...and a video of the event, I thought about all of the Wild Kingdom episodes I saw as a kid...and as a kid, I often thought the film makers should intervene to save the prey, but as I witnessed the spider with its prey, I knew that it had to eat too. I felt a little odd documenting the death of the tiny creature, but by welcoming nature to our yard, I have the opportunity to witness what nature really involves.

I just got done looking through this month's photos...I'm not gonna bother looking into past Augusts.
With the stiff competition, it is likely all in vain.
All in vain, all in vain HA! You took it all the way into your home plate!

I really did think it was in vain. I think we can all agree that there was definitely stiff competition. I couldn't figure out who would win--seeing your name up there seemed pretty likely to me as did several other member names. I still don't know how Sage can pick a winner most months!

I wish.....but my name.... Hasn't won any of the contests I've entered all year.
Seems all in vain. One just never knows, now do they?

Dapjwy August 2013.pub
This is where I play around with template options, insert text and photos.
It's a lot of fun but at times, it can also be quite the challenge.

A quickie screen capture (Guide Lines inclusive)

Dapjwy August 2013 P.O.M..pdf
A p.d.f. for printing an 8x10 copy.

Congratulations!
