thistle I think your right kchd~~~as usual!

ya I probably have the local variety, liatris compacta, or liatris squarrosa. I did get happy about the thing tho, because I had just seen it blooming in a remote area of my yard, commented to wife Destiny (because it is her favored color~~~purple) and ....low & behold milta submitted a nice photo that resembles the thing I've got, and an ID name to get me started. I further researched the plant which might be L. compacta. around here, and sometimes known as the scaly variety. LOL (If it is scaly, then we probably got it in AR) It is somewhat rare, regardless.

I may try to narrow it down further with the new suggestions of ID names you have given kchd...tytyty!

I had grand plans when the idea first came up...then Jeff's surgery took my attention. The summer was jam packed with too many commitments, so my visions of what we'd accomplish came crashing down. Later, I had a sense of peace, but it is eroding now that reality is hitting.

No more talk now, I gotta see if I can hook up the power washer we borrowed.

The anxiety will come Sunday night when I see what is left to be done after work next week!

Sounds as if the power washing may be inspired by a lot of company very soon!

Yup. It was long overdue. I got the hose hooked up, and then Jeff took over and did the whole front, so I was able to focus on something else.

Thanks, Jeff!

Well, if it helps, that's the first thing I notice about a place! I'm always saying , Oh, that place really needs to be power washed! Really!

More great shots, havalotta. The shoreline looks very inviting.
