This did not come out as sharp as I would have liked by any means, but then maybe it captures the gloominess of winter and how we see past fruits and the hope of what is to come. I was laying in the snow trying to capture a group of song birds in our hedge when I saw this. Never did get the other picture! This is cropped from the original but nothing else. I believe it is a house finch.

There's plenty of beauty among what some may perceive as gloom.
The surrounding play of the sunflower he's within...Its maroon crest mimick the tones of the dogwood and beyond.
