What are you seeing this month, besides "Back to school" ads? Show us! I would think bugs might be waiting for your camera lens! Maybe a totally home-grown dinner plate? What you're harvesting!

Limit: 5 photos taken in August. Good Luck!

Sage, you are always so clever in introducing the POM threads.

Honestly, I *hate* seeing back to school ads, that means the countdown is on. Some years I'm ready to go back to work...I have three weeks or so for that feeling to kick in.

dap, we all hate to see those ads! It kind of makes you feel the end of summer is upon us. I read the stores need to clear out those summer clothes because the fall clothes have to out on the floor. I made my annual visit to Galleria Mall today today and visited my favorite store, jjill. All the fall clothes were on display with beautiful bright jewel colors! Couldn't find gray anywhere!

What do you teach? or do?

I don't teach...I interpret for a deaf student...but I do work in the school system, so I enjoy the summer break--and believe me, one really needs it.

Although I took a lot of photos last month, I don't think I entered any (but could be wrong)...anyway, I have an early entry for August:

Okay, I know...it is another frog. They have become a common subject for me since having the pond and subjects that don't dive into the water any time I come near.

...Honestly, last night after midnight, I started this post with a robber fly photo...but, when I went to upload it, it was not as crisp a focus as I'd thought, so this morning, after taking more photos, I went with the frog.

...Hmmm... after uploading the frog, it is not as crisp as in my picture program either.

Out my atrium door by a 30 gallon "water feature". I love these!!! Anywhere there's water and a few plant stakes rammed into the ground.... they show up and pose!!!
