I've got a really choice dog vomit slime mold for this month. Eat your hearts out folks!!! Without further adieu.... here's Fuligo septica and.... it's a native slime mold to boot!!!

I get a kick out of some common names too!!! It doesn't look so much like dog or cat puke in this photo but... it would have if I'd taken the photo the next day. I forgot!!! And now it's gone!!! Boo hoooo hoooo.

Havalotta, the harness I use is sold by Wild Bird Centers for use with binoculars, but it works equally well with a camera. I have it clipped to my camera straps in such a way that I have a lot of leeway to move the camera around. If I want to reach the camera well away from my body, say for an over head shot or a close up of something I can get the camera close to but not my body, then I have to unhook it, but 95% of the time, it just stays hooked to the harness. If you Google "binocular harness" you will see many versions available.

My neck doesn't tolerate the weight of my camera hanging from a strap, so this is the best way I have found to have the camera with me with hands free.
