flag ~JULY 2012 Photo of the Month Entry Thread~

~JULY 2012 Photo of the Month Entry Thread is now Open~

Besides your regular five entries, you may also post an additional three entries of FLAGS! US Flags for the Fourth of July or Canadian Flags for Canada Day!

~JULY 2012 Photo of the Month Entry Thread~-p1210146.jpg This was taken to show the flag flying against our decaying old Central Terminal with a nesting pair of Peregrine Falcons, the mama "Gleig", is from Hamilton, Ontario. Dad has not yet been indentified. They have two female eyasses, named Afreda and Wagner, who should fledge in about two weeks. Anyone local enough to volunteer for fledge watches, please contact me!

The pattern on this Hover Fly reminds me of the Mimbres pottery style of the Southwest.

I found the color of this purp to be superior in so many ways and it really popped in the sun when I took the photo.

Wow...early entries and really good ones too!

I like your comment about the pottery, Bulu. Great photo too...is it just me or can I see the camera reflected in the thorax?

Awesome heron photo Kildale! The heron looks as though he is admiring his beautiful self in the reflection of the water. What a great photo capture!

Great photo, kildale. I know that pose. Some little fishie is about to have a bad day.

You may be right about the reflection, dap, or possibly a shadow. I'll have to check the hi-res version and see what it tells me.

Thanks.

No, I finally got it down. Sometimes I still do it my old way, but if I ever want to comment on each photo separately, I can place them where I want them now. Thanks for checking up on me.
