Yes that is a real stunning photo of the "perfoliate" for the botanically inclined.
Only we nature lovers would take note of such!

OK! I finally got to go through all the pix and make a bunch of selections. Great job you guys! Sorry it took me so long!

We've been out most of the time and now down to the final hours of a Peregrine fledge watch. Hopefully other people are showing up at 5 and 6m. Tomorrow, bagel and coffee from gas station and off to Central Terminal. Here's what we're watching and they will probably fledge tomorrow! Fledges seem to get in trouble and need rescuing on weekends when it is difficult to get the officials.

The final hours, eh? Will you paleeeeeeeease hang your camera around your neck while you're running around like a chicken with your head cut off gathering up babies so we can live vicariously through your photos!!!!

I am always glad to get a hummingbird photo and I liked the shimmer off the orange-red feathers on this guy.

That's okay. It was worth seeing again.

I'll check it out for a third time over in the July POM thread. (I agree, the clarity of his iridescent feathers is great.)
