I actually watched the wasp filling the second one with small green caterpillars; the third one appeared the next day. I didn't know they would put them on a flower stem. So far, they haven't emerged.

More on the theme of spiders...caterpillar for lunch.

And, hopefully not to be a spider's lunch, my newly emerged black swallowtail, whom I released onto a coneflower.
