Default What have you tried growing that came from the grocery store?

I'm just curious. I tried quinoa from the organic aisle and that sprouted. I tried lychee and that didn't sprout. I'd like to try that again..... lychee (Litchi chinensis) is the sole member of the genus Litchi and the fruits are really tasty. I tried some peppercorns and those didn't germinate. Those I'd definitely like to try again. I'm doing so so with guava and ginger root, Ginger Root, Zingiber officinale and Guava from seed?.
I'm thinking the grocery store's got a lot more I could play with so I'm wondering what other folk have tried growing and whether they had any luck or not.
