To give wildlife a break on country roads using these! I swear with the number of dead opossums and raccoons on the roads that some people must speed up when they see them.

Those aren't my photos. They came in an e-mail.

Too funny!

Here in Buffalo winters we don't need fake potholes though.

But you could use them during summer after the road crews filled up all the pot holes. You have to admit those would really slow people down. Those are brilliant and no frame damage if you hit one.

...Reminds me of the fake holes in the old Warner Brothers' cartoons (like the Roadrunner) I used to watch on Saturday mornings. And like Sage, we really don't need fake potholes here, either! What we really don't need are drivers that will deliberately go out of their way to run over animals like snakes and turtles - I've seen that happen.

Except for the wrecks from when someone on a cell phone, sees them at the last second, thinks their car is about to "bottom out" and yanks it into the next lane.

I showed them to hubby, he loved them, but said we'd have a hard time here finding a smooth stretch of road to put them on! Louisiana roads are NOT known for being well-maintained.

Didn't think of that.
