Thank you, Hedgerowe! Luckily Karen did too, and a DEC friend is doing her thesis on turtles! It's especially nice to know after seeing the evidence of some hateful person's easily avoided damage to another living being. How hard is it to avoid a very large turtle?

As I've mentioned before, turtles are my Spirit Animal and anyone who takes care of them is a friend. Thank you Sage and please pass on my gratitude Ms. Slote. Good job!

When fishing I nearly stepped on a painted turtle hiding in some long grasses. we let it go on its mary way toward the water.. but it feel on the steps and had to be righted up by Shane my staff..

That's good! Where we rescued Tillman, there are lots of turtles and Northern Leopard Frogs in the grass near the swamp during that time of year!
