After it had walked into the woods I drove on by....
Thinking it may still be visible somewhere in the area I slowly backed up the vehicle.
I stared into the darkness for quite some time in search of movement from deep within to no avail.
As I put the car into gear to move on I noticed a movement within a few feet of the road.

He had been keeping an eye on me from a much nearer distance than I had thought he'd be.

He plodded his way through

and into the underbrush.

Havalotta-
I can open your links just fine, but I have a facebook account.

What a strange looking creature. I'd say it looks half starved and covered in mange.

I have FB and it won't open. It looks like a sick dog or coyote to me. Poor thing...

Currently Facebook supports only the viewing of video content from within their social network. Perhaps in time this will change. At present, Facebook is withholding embed code choosing only to permit viewing of video content by registered Facebook members who are logged into their network.
Here's another short video of him for those of you who "are" able to view it.

And the only frontal shot I have of him for those who cannot.

I've never seen a coyote with ears like that! Usually ears like that are designed to release heat in hot climates. It's not what one would expect in Michigan.

I know a hint when I see one.... Eventually I may succumb and join the You tube gang.
It's just that..... I'm so active and happy right here, that I haven't the time to take on another site.
