Wonderful picture of a hoary marmot whistling.

Wildlife Profile: Hoary Marmots in the Canadian Rockies -DH Wall's Jasper National Park Journal Travel Guide to Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada
Quote:
According to the fact sheet here, hoary marmots make 4 kinds of whistling sounds: “ascending calls”, “descending calls”, “flat calls” and “trills”. The whistle sound might be different between the sound made for ground predators and aerial predators.
Play this video to hear a marmot whistling.

Default I'm not worthy...

but you're welcome to these images. The moose and the grouse were in the Kenai/Solodotna region of Alaska. I wasn't sure about the other two images. I don't know if a caterpillar counts as wildlife but I really like this image. The other image is, I believe, a Mute Swan and I learned from someone here a few days ago that they are an invasive species and so I don't know if you would want to be showcasing them here. However, I'll include them and if you want, you can use them. I freely donate them to the Wildlife Gardeners for support of the site. It's the least I could do. These are the unedited versions so feel free to enhance them.

Very nice shots! Love the moose and the fuzzy antlers, and a terrific caterpillar shot! And not to worry Bulu, we're not NatGeo here and everyone loves pix!

There's a photo of the month contest at WG you should check out. There's some other contests floating around too but they're sort of coming to a close which sort of sucks for you since you're new. For that photo of the month contest run by this guy named Dave Stiles... I'm pretty sure they don't care what year we take the photos in as long as the photo are taken in the month we submit them. You've got some FANTASTIC photos there. That juvenile moose is a keeper!!! Go find the photo of the month contest and see what you can put in it.
