I love the way the bear has adorned itself with dried grass. All terrific photos, Kildale.

He's a genuine bufo.............
Just for the heck of it, I searched buffo (wrong spelling) and found THIS! Google Image Result for http://mediterraneapassione.files.wordpress.com/2008/06/il-pesce-piu-buffo-del-mondo.jpg What the heck is he???? There is very little resemblance to a frog. Any one good at translating? Wonder what happened to him or if that is how he truly is? A real prince charming waiting for a kissing beauty. ![]()

That bufo looks like it has a white underside. I don't think that's Bufo americanus... I think you got yourself a mighty fine photo of Bufo woodhousei if that underside wasn't speckled. Your blob is Psychrolutes phrictus. Wild looking fish aren't they! No way to misidentify the blob! Kiss himl!!! It's just a fish... who knows what'll happen after you pucker up.

http://www.insectsofiowa.com/amphibi...woodhousei.htm. No way am I going to kiss something like that unless I'm guaranteed something really great in trade. ![]()
