Not zombie raccoons but the danger of many raccoons testing positive again this year with distemper is real for pet owners...get that vaccine. Report any odd behavior observed. I wonder if there have been any squirrels tested? Last year I saw a squirrel dragging its back legs and acting strange. I reported but do not know if it was captured and tested.

Yikes! That can be scary for pet owners and those living amidst these sick animals. Fortunately it has been about five years since I have heard a report in my area of a rabid raccoon...
