I don't remember if he was snarling or chewing but I guess he found some grubs or worms under the leaf litter. They kind of remind me of fuzzy armadillos.

He was probably chomping on something. I loved watching the one we had under our shed out back at the camp. Too bad we sold the place.
I told the new owner about him hoping he'd let him be...Not trap him or something stupid. I even mentioned it was a good thing that he lived under there as it's den could easily attract the local skunk into using it if it wasn't occupied. Imagine stomping into your shed with a skunk beneath. I'm sure he'd let one fly... THEN what would you do!!!!

I have a possum who is out by my feeders almost every night, but I have yet to see him during the day. Lovely photos!
