Default Bats

Here is a short video of big brown bats emerging. We counted over 100 bats.

What is that structure? I love bats. Did you take that video?

Yes, the video is from last night. It's a barn. Apparently the bats have been there for a long time.

Cool. Is that on your property? ...or at least a place you can observe frequently?

I think even as a kid, I liked bats to some degree...even though they creeped me out just a little (society's influence, I'm sure...not my father's). Now as an adult, I think there is no "creeped out" feeling left.

I've seen only two or three bats on occassion flying around our yard at dusk. It is a welcomed sight.
