Problem is.... we've been calling for better screening of imported plants for decades. Hasn't happened yet. The Not Authorized Pending Pest Risk Analysis is a joke IMO. Remember the Pimentel Report.... they ignored that. If they could ignore David Pimentel's work.... I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for meaningful regulation in our lifetime.
