Default Geminid showers

The best meteor show of the year will come into its peak this weekend!
The spectacular Geminid display is expected right around midnight with an estimation of 80 Meteorites per hour!
So bundle yourself up, grab a cocoa and enjoy the show...

Oh, very nice find havalotta. The show will not be in the middle of the night which means I might be able to stay up late enough to see it.

I found additional information that may be useful-

And more than one every half hour like the last show I watched at 4:00 in the morn!
Sure hope this storm has passed by then. It's STILL snowing.
We had 75 mile per hour winds! Knocked out the power for a short while.

They're calling for rain here so looks like we'll miss it.

I remember this one. Years ago this week, I saw two meteors cross paths.

I located a map of the sky which shows the general area to view the show.

Looks like another one we'll miss - clear right now, but it's supposed to cloud up later with rain/freezing rain forecast for after midnight...

Havalotta, you are a gem! Thanks so much for bring this to our attention. They are calling for some rain here, but it may not be a total washout so I am going to watch the forecasts closely and keep my fingers crossed.

Well that's not the ONLY night to view them!
There's a big spread to see them before and after this weekends peak.

I watched quite a few already around 1:00 last night.
(Our first clear night since the snow started.)
