Film warns of 'world without fish'
By Jeremy Cooke
Rural affairs correspondent, BBC News

BBC NEWS | UK | Film warns of 'world without fish'
excerpt from above:
They are dramatic images to make a dramatic point. The End of the Line is a film packed with footage of big-scale fishing in oceans around the world.
The work is efficient, modern, industrial and, according to the film makers, unsustainable.
The tendency of man's nature to good is like the tendency of water to flow downwards.

"Where is this fish from, and is that source sustainable?" A very good question. How do we really know. If anyone has an answer, I'd be interested. I can't exactly go to my Jewel and ask if the haddock I'm buying is from Iceland. The guy would give me the deer in the headlamps stare. Has anyone read the book 'Cod' by Mark Kurlansky?
