The Corporate Takeover of Science and the Destruction of Freedom | Global Research
excerpt from above:
Quote:
When rich companies with politically-connected lobbyists fund their own research and distort outcomes for their own ends, we are in serious trouble. Due to the corporate takeover of science, our choices, rights and freedoms are currently in the process of being destroyed.

In a genuine ‘age of reason,’ science would assist in providing clear answers to issues, and the public would be able to engage in open, honest debate over the rights and wrongs of policies. Instead, corporate interests have used their junk science, lobbyists, presence within the heart of governments and PR machines to muddy the waters and sometimes engage in fear-mongering so that public debate has too often become distorted and campaigns of deliberate misinformation have become commonplace.

‘Scientific’ debate is now often played out in full public glare and acrimony has become the norm, particularly when someone’s huge profits are threatened. Corporate greed leads to debate being stifled whereby scientists and various groups who do not support particular corporate stances are made to look like they are the ones who are pushing dogma based on self-interest and not the other war around…

I totally agree with you!!! I've been following this in my own community which just so happens to be embracing the UN’s sustainable development program….. The Wildlands Project, Step by Step, Step by step, “Step by step, piece by piece, the Wildlands Project is coming to fruition. The Project, foundational to the U.N. Biodiversity Treaty which was never ratified by the U.S. Senate, calls for approximately 50 percent of the United States to be set aside as "wildlands", where no human can enter.” Why the big push to get folk back to nature when it’s kinda obvious to me the long term goal of their science is… and always has been…. cutting us off from any wilds other than what we create on our own property if….. we’re lucky enough to live where we’ve got some land instead of in an apartment or condo. Is separating humans from nature in our best interests… guess it doesn’t really matter what we think… it’s obviously not about what’s in our best interests anymore and hasn’t been for a long time…. I’m just starting to figure it out now.

‘Information You Need To Know About - The Wildlands Project’, Information You Need To Know About - The Wildlands Project. ‘Explanation of the Biodiversity Treaty and the Wildlands Project’, Explanation of the Biodiversity Treaty and the Wildlands Project, “The Wildlands Project was developed by Dr. Michael Soule, co-founder and first president of the Society for Conservation Biology; Dr Reed Noss, current editor for the Journal of Conservation Biology; and David Foreman, co-founder and long-time leader of Earth First.
The United Nations Global Biodiversity Assessment define the Wildlands Project as the basis for preserving biodiversity for its UN Convention on Biological Diversity. The Statutory Framework of the World Network of Biosphere Reserves, the Sevile Agreement for the Man and Biosphere Strategic Program (MAB), and the Strategic Plan for the USMAB, state that the MAB Program (see map) is designed to help implement this UN Convention, a treaty that was never ratified by the US Senate.
The UN Convention on Biological Diversity is centered on the science of conservation biology, largely created by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), which is made up of over 500 national and international environmental and socialist groups known as NGOs (Non Governmental Organizations). Itself an accredited NGO with the United Nations, the IUCN received diplomatic immunity on January 19, 1996 by President Clinton (Exec. Order 12986). To date the science of conservation biology is based on nothing more than unproven theories.” All of this tells me… we’re in waaaaaay over our heads unless we start looking beyond what’s left or right to what’s right or wrong and start sticking together using our dollars wisely and speaking out about all the incremental whittling away of our ability as a people to have a say so over our own wilds….. what I mean is…. we should have the say so over our wilds not the United Nations… and any elected official who puts the UN’s science above the needs of future generations of us should get the boot.

‘The Elite Believe That You Are Ruining Their Planet And They Want You To Stop Reproducing’, The Elite Believe That You Are Ruining Their Planet And They Want You To Stop Reproducing, “Today, there are more than 7 billion people living on earth. For the global elite, that is problem number one.
The vast majority of us don’t spend much time thinking about global population issues, but for many among the elite it is an absolute obsession.
Many of them truly believe that you are ruining their planet and they desperately want you to stop reproducing so much. Among the elite, the belief that the world is grossly overpopulated and that this is causing most of our major global problems crosses all political, cultural and social boundaries.
This philosophy is taught as gospel at the vast majority of all colleges and universities on the planet, and it is being relentlessly pushed by the United Nations, the WHO, the World Bank and national governments all over the globe. When most people think of “overpopulation”, they think of places such as India, but the truth is that those of us living in America are considered to be the worst offenders because our lifestyles are “polluting” the planet so rapidly.” We obviously don’t know what’s in our best interests anymore and I guess we’re not supposed to think for ourselves anymore….. all we need to do is follow their science.I can’t help but think about when I initially read that article and sorta rolled my eyes…. now…. I’m not exactly rolling my eyes anymore but sorta gasping. It was all there online for us and we weren’t connecting the dots.

MIT Urban Developer: Smart City The Next Best Thing To Population Control

excerpt from above:
Quote:
In a recent Q&A with SmartPlanet, top urban developer and director of MIT’s Media Lab’s Changing Places group Kent Larson openly states that Agenda 21′s concept of smart cities and micro-apartments is the alternative to outright population control. He also stresses that the influence MIT wields in the actual development of so-called micro-apartments is increasing. Larson:

“We just have to accept that cities are growing. You could wish they weren’t. You could hope that population control would reduce the rate at which these cities are expanding. We just start with that as a given.”

In these words, Larson implicitly states that population control is something to be hoped for, but must in the end be regarded as something unrealistic. The second best thing, according to Larson, is further development of compact mega-cities as outlined by UN’s Agenda 21. In response to a question why people should care about...
