Have you ever sat in any of them and let the water push you upon their slick surface?
Ripley Falls, looks like a good one to try unless there'd be a HUGE falls at its end.
Sometimes you need to lay back into it to get a good shove...LOTS of fun!!!!!

We've one here we've slid down regularly, that is until my internal balance went kaplooey.
We dressed in grubbies and old tennies (As the green algae tends to dye things) and held our hands and feet up so we didn't get them caught in the surface fissures on the way down. Blubb blubbbbb

I used to go white water rafting (a couple of times) in my youth. There was a spot to get out of the raft and float... or if one fell out, I remember keeping feet UP so you don't break your legs.

AND it helps to have the feet real handy to be able to shove away from upcoming surface rocks and boulders need be.

Yup.

I doubt I'll try that in my future streambed.

All shots taken from same spot overlooking the Horseshoe Falls part of Niagara Falls from Terrapin Point on the American side!

~Waterfalls Pix~-p1210610.jpg This was taken looking straight down the rocky face of the gorge. I just thought the loosestrife would be an interesting foreground item for the water rushing over the rocks. I could rappel down and get it~~~ Come with???

Nooooooo
Did the write up hit your papers where three young people plunged to their deaths because they ducked under the barriers to get a shot of themselves sitting in the middle of the river above the falls? Quite a few people warned them verbally as well!
