Default Gulf Wilderness Park

Gulf Wilderness Park in Lockport, NY has been on the decline, under pressure from heavy visitation, garlic mustard, and multiflora rose. It nevertheless has some really neat plants. I visited about 3 weeks ago. I went mostly to see the blue phlox (Phlox divaricata), and I wasn't disappointed:

I also came across this stunning wild crabapple:

A little frog by the creek:

Do they battle against the M R in that park? When I read your post and saw those cool pictures, I thought it would be a shame if that alien invasion is allowed to continue...

I haven't noticed that they've done anything about it, no. The MR doesn't get into the interior of the forest, but it does push out purple-flowering raspberries and other sun-loving natives on the edges. The GM does get into the interior. I pulled a ton of it while I was walking through, but there were many tons more I didn't get. :P
