Default ~Paths~

Paths into natural areas are very inviting and enticing. They beckon me to enter the scene and follow the paths to some unknown secret place that is sure to be delightful. Paths may be a trampled-down way through a woods, others are boardwalks, or they may even be paved. Some streams even seem to be pathways of water. The best paths are canopied by trees, often wild and colorful, other times quiet and serene.

Thanks to TheLorax for her suggestion of where to go!

Post your paths here and share them with us!

Gorgeous!!! I know I have some that didn't get wiped. One is pretty good. I think you'll like it. This si going to be a good winter thread. We can all go rooting around for paths. I wish somebody would start a birds nest thread. They're all exposed now since leaf drop. That would be another good winter thread for when we start going stir crazy to the max couped up in our houses.

I've been out gathering nest photos since leaf fall and have started a thread here....... Nesting instincts.......
Please feel free to add nests, dens and burrows to it anytime.

Very nice, Maggy! I've been to Folly Beach! The Edisto Island looks so very South Carolina!

I've got some from this morning. They're working in this area to remove invasives. They're going to open up the understory.

Maggie I like the feel of that fourth photo.
Our roads used to look that way until the county started making them wider.
I suppose it was for safety reasons as we have a lot of deer that dart across the road. You know, more visuals....
