chillpill Snow path

Looking closely, you can see the path I made through the snow to reach my bird feeding area. I have circled around a large drift up against the back of the house.

This one is a slight zoom to show all the birds taking advantage of my largess.

We don't have as many birds as you do. What's your feed bill a month. No... don't tell me. I know it's got to be high.

While working in Georgia and Alabama during the month of January I had opportunity to discover some new paths.

The first two shots are from the Columbus Riverwalk, a walking and biking path that runs alongside the Chattahoochie River.

Here is a path that became a bridge under another bridge.

This is another shot along the riverside.

And here is a path that goes right underneath the Convention Center in Columbus, Ga.

This next shot I figured was a path to education....

This is another riverside shot of the Columbus Riverwalk.

This is another bridge that I came across.

A path to a native long-leaf pine habitat that we are in the process of restoring.

Here another bridge beckons..

This is another path into one of our other long-leaf restoration projects.

~Paths~-01-19-2010-17-.jpg

These next three shots are a place that was fun to cross over a little stream or creek. The photos don't show quite how steep the opposite side was and I didn't really get the 2' dropoff on the one side either. My boss attempted to cross this in his Rav4...and couldn't quite make it up the other side.

One last shot of a path through a young long-leaf habitat that is being restored.

Ahhh... where you were working. I like the road unpaved. I hope they don't improve it.

I doubt that any of these private plantations will do so. Some of these places were measured in miles of dirt roads....my car was absolutely filthy when I got home from driving through so much mud when I was down there.
