I was stumped on that star shaped one as well. I would say the fern is Onoclea. Kettle Morraine is a beautiful area. i wish I had the tiem to go explore more natural areas. If you ever get a bit further north Equil, check out Skillet Creek and Three Step Falls in Sauk County. Gorgeous place.

"check out Skillet Creek and Three Step Falls in Sauk County". I will do that next time I get up that way. Have you visited those sites before?

Yes! When I worked for the fish crew, we sampled skillet creek. It is a gorgeous area. I haven't been there since the floods last year though, so I don't know if the area was damaged, but I think the falls have been around a long time. It's a nice little creek and the falls are in a secluded area. Think small, not like big river falls! Sauk County is full of natural areas and public land.

If you do get up this way I'd love to tag along! I work part time in Baraboo for one of my jobs.

That area looks to be near the WI Dells. I'd love to go there. Do you promise to make me laugh? I get silly and slap happy when I am out and about. If we go when the weather warms up we could kick off our shoes and jump in the water if we over heat.

I'm funny looking too. I want to see if I can bring a stomping buddy with me. It would depend on whether or not she has to work on the weekends or not if she can go. Let's do this. Let's figure something out for a weekend you would be able to come out to play.
