Definitely worth an afternoon of exploration on the beach and in the forest there.
Many thanks, Jack. That sounds quite promising...and the fact that it is nearby makes it seem more likely do-able.

Did I mention that we would also like to go to Martha's Vineyard?

If you make it to MV, you'll want to hike some of the trails in West Tisbury and Chilmark, the more undeveloped part of the Island. My sister lives there, so I've been hiking those trails for years. The soil is sandy, so sand loving species dominate the presence of trees and shrubs. Enjoy that trip whenever it takes place!!

Many thanks, Jack, not only for the great suggestions, but also for the well-wishes. ~smile~

BTW MY circumference has increased since I heard that tune!
Throughout the years, I've graduated with a few degrees.... adding to my circumference as well.

I graduated from high school in 1975 and had thought seriously about going into oceanography but never pursued it because we didn't have what it took money wise. If I had....It surely would have torn me from our close-knit family.

I so loved and nearly literally lived in the water all my life. I often swam with the fish side by side observing them with goggles and fins.
I found Jacques Cousteau and his undersea world fascinating!
