Adkins Arboretum : Home

I discovered this Arboretum an hour from me and visited it for the first time yesterday. 400 acres. It was beautiful. Even my friend that went with me who is not a native plant enthusiast was impressed. It's wonderful to see positive things like this for nature in the area.

Do others have similar things where they live?

Ellen, that's a nice website that gives a good idea of what is going on and what to expect from a visit. I like the meadow walks idea.

The Morten Arboretum is not far here in Illinois. It is a nice place with lots going on year round but the website seems to do a poor job of showcasing the actual land.
