Crawdad nets... You put a piece of fish or meat into them..the crabs locate it and crawl in to feast but can't find their way out...Din Din time!

The trucks were hauling sugar cane. That's the main cash crop in this part of the state.

That lil ol piece of driftwood was bigger than the truck!

The water level was high enough one day for someone to nail that bucket lid to the tree from a boat. Big difference in water level from the day we were there.

Then it hit me...Our boat! It ran a muck!

Biigs hubby had to jump overboard and pull us free...
All eyes on deck were on the look out for the gators! NOPE Just a log!

After churning up a bit more mud and finally free of our predicament, we headed on home....

We had a great time. Glad you enjoyed it. By the way, did you get to eat a really ripe persimmon? They weren't really ready when we picked them.

Oh yes.....One, by one, by one, they ripened and I ate every sweet, dripping, hand slurping, thing ...I loved them!
