I like them, but I've never been accused of being artistic. But if Will O Wisp is coveting them . . . they're Splendiferous!

Maybe I'm not in NJ now. You never know when I'll get there.
The flaw in this stealth plan is not having an address to go to but I'm
sure my homing pigeon sense of direction when it comes to large wood pieces will lead me right to them.

Digging in snow is easier then digging in dirt.
At this point I'm so ready for spring planting I'll dig anywhere!

A couple of marked log ends wash ashore from days gone by.....
Look what I found and brought home-dscf9957.jpg
Loggers whacked the ends of their harvested timber before floating them downriver
Look what I found and brought home-dscf9958.jpg
with a heavy tool bearing their initials
Look what I found and brought home-dscf9959.jpg
to identify their haul for payment.
Look what I found and brought home-dscf9960.jpg
However.....Thieves trimmed a small slice off the end, re whacked them as being theirs and collected their pay.....

I'll have to go look for more of them SOON before the tourists walk the shoreline.
The bay broke up last week and a front sent impressive whitecaps inland a few days ago... Something we don't see here too often.

Just one floated in this spring.
You can see the stamp in the very center.
Look what I found and brought home-dscf4920.jpg
A little large to carry home though.
