Default Wild Pig, Sus scrofa

This is a scull of a feral pig somebody killed I'm bringing back as a gift for a friend. Lucky her.

Looks like he should have brushed better.

ummmm, just wondering. . .has this friend ever indicated she'd like a skull of a feral hog, or did she annoy you?

You OBVIOUSLY have no appreciation for the finer things in life. She's salivating over getting her skull. Blows my mind but... this skull made it onto 5 planes without being confiscated and I disclosed that I had it and the USDA inspected our luggage by hand 3 of the 5 times and not one of the inspectors questioned it but they took sandwiches, potted orchids with no phytos, and seed away from other passengers??? See that photo? Look close at that photo. There's dead bugs floating all over the surface of the water and some sunk to the bottom of the tub along with soil from the ground where I found the skull. When I first got that skull I soaked it in super hot water in the hot tub in our room for 2 days. I'd jiggle the skull and rotate it to get rid of air pockets. I dried it out in the sun a little then decided I better ask a waitor at a restaurant to nuke it on high in a microwave for 20 minutes. He was reluctant at first but $20 helped him see I was serious. We got back to the hotel and I had the concierge dude freeze it for me until we took off... he wasn't thrilled. Something about the remaining tuft of flesh and hair on the skull didn't sit well with him. I asked him pretty please to freeze it and he tagged it with our last name and room number then froze it for me. It would have been better to fumigate her skull but I didn't have a way to do that.

choking laughing here. I wonder how many times the concierge will tell disbelieving people about you?

The concierge dude was pretty cool and I even got directions from him on how to get to one of the rare plant nurseries propagating endangered species. He's a die hard biker into conservation and his only problems with freezing the skull were if they'd let him put it in the freezer without giving him grief for catering to some eccentric old lady... we ended up wrapping it in hand towels then sticking it in a plastic bag so nobody could see what he was sticking in the hotel's freezer with the people food. I know the waiter must of said something because I saw some of the kitchen help poking their heads out of the back to get a good look in my direction. I smiled and waved... they dodged back into the kitchen.

It'll make a lot of pretty drawings and paintings.

Another friend of mine from WI is sending me another disgusting dead thing this week, LOL!

I don't understand what all the ruckus is about. My brother's been collecting skulls since he was a kid and doesn't use them for art. He just hangs them on the wall. Most in his garage but a mounted feral hog's head is in the living room.
I told some of my city friends about his collection and they were ready to do an exorcism. LOL

Gee, and here I sat all excited thinking it was for me....
Next time you pick one up snap it inside a Tupperware container...
No dirt,bugs or smell.
Did the drug dogs sniff you out?
They located a rotten old oceany coral thing I had picked up and traveled home with one time.
Ruined a lot of other delicate things I had carefully packed away looking for their desired object too.
