omg! Sapsucker Woods is full of them! Wanna go? The next three weeks should be great! Gotta hit the road, maybe this week, or next, Catskills and Sapsucker Woods!

Havalotta, how do you get the photos to line up vertically with cute sayings? I just spent a moderate amount of time trying to figure it out, but the photos won't appear in the text until I am done editing. There must be a secret you Stewards of the Earth are privy to - please share with a lowly salamander (I just noticed I evolved, yay!)

W is for wasp, sweetly sipping nectar. I'd love to know what the species is if someone wants to id them for me

click the arrow to the right of the paperclip
click add all (or whatever it says at the bottom)

The first wasp is a potter wasp (Hymenoptera: Vespidae; subfamily Eumeninae) in the genus Eumenes - see Potter Wasp - Eumenes fraternus - BugGuide.Net for an example. The second wasp is a thread-waisted wasp (Hymenoptera: Sphecidae) in the genus Ammophila - see Ammophila nigricans photo - Tom Murray photos at pbase.com for an example.
