If I was to take a guess, I'd say refrigeration would slow its movement down creating better photo opportunities..
Thought I'd get out my handy dandy bug guide for a look see but I see you've figured the little invader out already.Good job...

I hadn't heard of the Lost Ladybug Project. Thanks, Havalotta.

Sage, those snazzy bugs look awfully cute. I'd have a hard time feeding them to my spiders, even if it is the right thing to do.

I'm so impressed at how educated this group is! Pretty much any picture anyone posts gets id'd in a matter of hours. The amount of expertise represented by this website is enormous. Pat yourselves on the back, guys and gals.

Someone told me about that sight last year when I had a strange one myself that needed I.D.ing..
One of my lady photos was moved on by them and entered onto a contest. I have not heard anything as of yet how it fared.
