damselfly Odonata- photos of dragonflies and damselflies

I'll start with something I dug up. I don't have many good photos so you guys have to add from your stashes.

I have a few blue ones and reddish.
Odonata is a neat name, an order of insects, encompassing dragonflies and damselflies, I thought I had heard of it before.

Those are great photos, Equilibrium and Kildale. I tried so many times this past summer to photograph Odonata (a word I don't think I have ever heard before now!), but one look at me waving my camera at them was enough for every single one of them, and off they flew. Can't say that I blame them...

One I had painted a few years back.

I tried something new flinging in the background instead of accurately painting in the grasses it was perched upon.
