For the last couple of days this fellow has been hanging out in our back garden sitting for long spells just begging to have a picture taken. So finally I came out with the camera in hand. He actually flew around my head and back to his post a few times so I could get different angles...LOL. What a ham.
Also saw him/her? at several plants. Hunting?

Just because I was curious, it looks like what you have here is a widow skimmer, Libellula luctuosa.
