Default Deer Ticks

Woohoo! *insert sarcasm here* It's deer tick time again. Found this adult female on my arm after reaching into some brush. Well, actually I found it while eating pizza. I nearly flung my pizza across the room. My hubby took these lovely photos while I finished wigging out.

"Woohoo! *insert sarcasm here* It's deer tick time again." You are too funny. I hate them myself. Your husband took really good photos of a female. Would you get him to add some photos of any males, nymphs, and larva that crawl off of you

He had my blessing.

I had to laugh - the white background that tic is sitting on is the same plate Chris had just eaten pizza off of!

umm, Stolon. . . .did you ever enlighten us as to why you store ticks in the freezer?

I'm sure that's one heck of a story. . . .

Isn't it obvious? Yum!

We kept the ticks that bit us, in case we had Lyme's disease symptoms. But in retrospect, it may not have been necessary to keep the ticks.

Plus it was about as close as we could get to mounting their heads on the wall.
