Hello gang,

Just letting everyone know why I've been mostly absent from this forum lately. I've been busy planning a move (I will post all of my MO photos for the fall soon, too.) There is about a 90+% that I will be relocating to Connecticut this winter. I will have plans to travel to many places in NY, NJ, and relevant sites in the area for next year in order to find herps specifically, as well as any cool plant and animal life in the process.

Since many of these sites will be hours away, I thought it might be a nice time to try transitioning into more of a field trip type experience. Would anyone be interested in car pooling to or meeting to search for any of these?

midwesterner,

I know moving is a stressful time, and, although we stayed within the state, we relocated almost 6 hours away from our hometowns...it really wasn't too bad and we are very happy here.

I want to welcome you to the the Northeast (even though you are not here yet). I think it is wise to plan field trips and such; it helps you focus on the fun/positive things.

Timing is everything...if I am available, I'd be open to meeting up--Have you checked out the http://www.wildlifegardeners.org/for...53-meetup.html thread?

Will you be keeping your screen name?

I'll keep the same screen name, but update my Location so (hopefully) it won't cause too much confusion. I never know how long I'll be staying in one area, so I hope to make the most of my time up there. At least with a field trip style outing, you don't feel like it was a total loss even when finding things doesn't go as well as expected!
