frog Pea sized frog discovered in Borneo

Pea-sized frog found in Borneo | Environment | guardian.co.uk

"The frogs were named Microhyla nepenthicola after the pitcher plant species where they live...The tubular plants are carnivorous, killing insects such as ants, but do not harm the frogs. Tadpoles grow in the liquid inside the plants. Adult males of the amphibians range in size between 10.6mm and 12.8mm"

That's an itsy bitsy frog.

We used to call the the little green frogs Pee Frogs because you'd feel droplets on you as you walked under the tree. . . . but they weren't pea-sized.

The study of nature is filled with the unexpected. It's tempting to associate complex behavior with size, but this little guy fits complex behavior into a pea sized package. It's counterintuitive but not to be denied.
